Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled, Canon-trained Printer Engineer to join our Client's South East team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and service to our clients on-site. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and have a passion for delivering high-quality service.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of Canon printer equipment (laser, inkjet & multifunctional devices) as required.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs and maintenance performed.

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide training on equipment usage when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working on-site.

  • Liaise with the engineering team to provide feedback on product performance and suggest improvements.

  • Stay updated with Canon printer technology, industry trends and advancements to enhance service delivery.

  • PDI & refurbish devices in our clients office as and when required.

Experience & Qualifications

  • All applicants must be a Canon Certified Engineer (must have completed official Canon training programs with a valid certification as a Canon printer engineer).

  • Proven experience in repairing and maintaining Canon printers (laser, inkjet & multifunctional).

  • In-depth knowledge of Canon printing technology, including troubleshooting, diagnostics & repair procedures.

  • Proven experience with different types of printers (small office to enterprise level machines).

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.

  • A valid UK driving licence is essential for travel to client sites.

  • Flexibility to work in different locations across the South East and London.
